Hello
I am Jeferson. I design brands you recognise at first glance.
Branding, visual identity and art direction for companies in Portugal and across Europe.
About me
14+ years in branding, digital design and art direction, with a track record of measurable results. I work where strategy meets aesthetics: every project starts with the same question: what does this brand need to say, and how should it say it?
A specialist in turning brand strategy into coherent visual systems and digital experiences that hold up across every touchpoint. I work with in-house teams, with studios and directly with the people who decide.
Based in Setúbal. Available for projects in Portugal and remotely across Europe.

Between agencies and direct clients, across automotive, cosmetics, culture, industry, retail and food service.
Comfortable end to end: from the conversation with the board to the final production-ready file, alone or inside a team.
Setúbal, Portugal. Available for projects in the country and remotely across Europe.

Work
selected
Branding, visual identity and digital experience projects for brands in Portugal and Brazil. Every case follows the same structure: challenge, solution, result.

Brand, brand book and website for a law firm in Setúbal. A three-line R that turns bureaucracy into stages.

Bringing the solidity of a bottle maker into digital, with the Farol and Bruma lines giving the brand a sensory face.

Full rebranding of a group with several brands and sales points, from the symbol to the application system.

New information architecture and a simplified checkout for a premium line, built around the stages of a woman's life.

Digital presence for one of the world's best-known jazz festivals: programme, content and identity in motion.

High performance
campaigns
Dealership communication, from the zero-interest offer to the anniversary sale. High volume, short deadlines and a brand that has to stay recognisable in every piece. This is where the Harley-Davidson campaign delivered +15% in sales.
The same logic serves consumer goods: Easter campaigns for Lagar H olive oil and Consumer Week for Lindt, in the row below.
What you
can hire
Five areas, hired together or one at a time. All of them start with the same conversation: what this brand needs to say, and to whom.
Strategy, positioning, identity and the visual system that holds them up.
Evolving a brand that already exists, without throwing away what it has built.
Visual concept, campaigns and communication with the same brand in every piece.
UI/UX, websites and landing pages that carry the brand forward.
Guidelines, templates and rules for the in-house team to apply on its own.
Brands that
have passed
through my hands
Some through agencies, others directly, between Brazil and Portugal. From automotive retail to cosmetics, from industry to culture.
The road
so far
14+ years between agencies and working directly with brands, in Brazil and Portugal. Every step added a piece to the method I use today.

Visual identity and strategic stylescapes for brands in industry, retail and food service. Creative direction aligning client expectations with identity development, plus complete brand systems: logo, palette, typography and applications.

Campaign development for automotive brands and interface design in Figma, working directly with the marketing teams.

Full group rebranding: logo, brand manual and visual system. Result: a more modern and consistent brand, applied across more than 100 touchpoints.
What I bring
to the team
A hybrid profile between strategy and execution, able to lead the conversation with the board and, the next day, hand over the production-ready file.

What they say
about working with me
Three clients, in their own words. Their projects are spread across this page.
Finding an agency that really listens is rare. They turned my loose ideas into a solid brand I am in love with.
Jucimara AparecidaBusiness ownerThey turned cold numbers into an incredible visual experience. A project that brings together technology and high-level design.
João HenriqueBusiness IntelligenceClear communication and technical expertise. A team that plays alongside the client, met the deadlines and beat expectations.
Magno LeiteBusiness ownerWhat people
usually ask me
The questions that always come up in the first call, answered before you book it.
What kind of companies work with you?
Companies that already have a product and customers, and whose brand no longer matches what the company has become. Industry, retail, food service, cosmetics, automotive and culture, from small businesses to groups with several brands.
Do you work with clients outside Portugal?
Yes. I live in Setúbal, work across Portugal and remotely across Europe. Much of my career was done at a distance, with teams in Brazil.
Do you only design logos?
I do, when that is genuinely what is missing, but it rarely is. The logo is the cheapest item on the list and almost never the thing that is failing: what fails is having no system behind it.
Do you rebrand existing brands?
Yes, and it is half the work. Rebranding is not swapping the symbol: it is revisiting what the brand says and rebuilding the touchpoints where it shows up, without throwing away the recognition it has earned.
How long does a branding project take?
A full identity takes four to eight weeks, from stylescape to guidelines. Rebranding a group with many touchpoints takes three to six months. What stretches a schedule is rarely the design work: it is how long decisions take on the client side.
And a website, how long does that take?
Four to ten weeks once the identity is settled, depending on how many pages there are and who writes the copy.
Do you work alone or inside a team?
Both. I join agency and studio teams as an art director, and I work directly with the management of companies that have no agency.
How is the budget set?
After a thirty-minute conversation, with the scope written down: what is included, what is not, and what is left for a second phase. Without that conversation, any number is a guess.
Need someone who can think
the brand and design it too?
Thirty minutes to understand the context, the challenge and what makes sense to do next. No sales pitch.

Notes on brand and design
What I learn from designing brands, written without jargon: method, decisions and the mistakes worth avoiding. Short articles, one subject at a time.
